NO is an important cellular signaling molecule, having a vital role in many biological processes. It was built between 1916 and 1921 to the designs by Louis Allmendiger. The plan is based on a Greek cross and is designed in the Russian version of the Byzantine style. The building features characteristic Onion domes atop four octagonal towers and a large central dome each topped by a large, gilded Russian Orthodox cross.
