The Yeshiva was established in 2004 and operated for three years; it was accommodated by the Kollel Yad Shaul in Gardens, Johannesburg. The then Rosh Yeshivas were Rabbis Berel Eichestein and Gedalya Sternstein. Rabbi Eichenstein delivered weekly lectures to the public, as well as to high school students, in addition to his Yeshiva duties.

It consists of two volcanoes, Plosky (flat) Tolbachik (3,085 m) and Ostry (sharp) Tolbachik (3,682 m), which as the names suggest are respectively a flat-topped shield volcano and a peaked stratovolcano. The track first appeared on their Extended Play (extended 12 inch single) release Quadrastate in 1988. It was then remixed to become the group`s first release on ZTT Records. Although the overall title is "Pacific State", the remixed versions are individually known by variant titles: the main 7" and 12" versions are "Pacific - 707" and "Pacific - 202" respectively, and a version is known simply as "Pacific". Most compilations which feature the track include either "Pacific - 707" or the original Quadrastate version of "Pacific State".
