William Murray, first Earl of Dysart (1600 ?-1655), born about 1600, was son of William Murray (1561 ?-1616), minister of Dysart, Fifeshire, by his wife Margaret. The father was a younger brother of Murray of Woodend, and was descended from a younger son of the family of Dollarie, which was a branch of the house of Tullibardine. William`s uncle, Thomas Murray, took his nephew to court when a boy, and educated him along with Prince Charles. The latter and Murray were about the same age, and became very intimate. Murray is often referred to as Charles` whipping boy.

The film features Sivaji Ganesan and Gemini Ganesan in the lead roles, while S. V. Subbaiah, S. V. Ranga Rao, Savitri and S. A. Ashokan appear in supporting roles. The film is based on the life of Va Vu Chidambaram Pillai, who founded the Swadeshi Stream Navigation Company to break the monopoly of the British over maritime trade out of India. Upon release, the film received critical acclaim and was adjudged the Best Tamil Film at the 9th National Film Awards, however it failed at the box office.

USCGC Point Lomas (WPB-82321) was an 82-foot (25 m) USCG Point class cutter constructed at the Coast Guard Yard at Curtis Bay, Maryland in 1961 for use as a law enforcement and search and rescue patrol boat. Since the Coast Guard policy in 1961 was not to name cutters under 100 feet (30 m) in length, it was designated as WPB-82321 when commissioned and acquired the name Point Lomas in January 1964 when the Coast Guard started naming all cutters longer than 65-foot (20 m) .
