As of 2006 they are organizing a series of actions in Washington, D.C. that they call The Winter of Our Discontent. Kathy Kelly, a Nobel Peace Prize nominee, is an internationally recognized coordinator for Voices. Recently, the group sent two of its members to Damascus, Syria, for Arabic language study. They were there for two months (as well as one month in Amman, Jordan), and were able to build relationships with some of the 500,000 to 1 million Iraqi refugees living near Damascus.
