Antoni Gaudi’s Expiatory Church of the Sagrada Familia, the Grand Central Terminal by Whitney Warren and Charles Wetmore and the Sydney Opera House by Jorn Utzon are all instantly recognizable buildings and symbols of national and metropolitan pride.
